Ce tapis présente plusieurs caractéristiques qu’on associe davantage aux tapis tibétains influencés par l’art chinois, plutôt qu’à un tapis chinois classique pur.

• Le fond rouge profond avec des motifs symétriques et des bordures de type “grecque” est fréquent dans les tapis tibétains anciens.

Le médaillon central floral et les motifs stylisés rappellent les décors bouddhistes tibétains.Les coins géométriques et la palette rouge/bleu/crème sont très typiques des productions tibétaines du début XXe siècle.Les tapis chinois classiques ont souvent des dragons, nuages, chauves-souris, symboles taoïstes ou des décors plus fluides.
 

• Origine probable : Tibet
• avec une forte influence chinoise
• probablement un tapis de style Ningxia / Tibet-Chine ancien ou semi-ancien.
• dimensions 130x200 cm

his rug has several characteristics that are more associated with Tibetan rugs influenced by Chinese art, rather than a pure classical Chinese rug.

• The deep red background with symmetrical patterns and "Grecian"-style borders is common in early Tibetan rugs.

The central floral medallion and stylized motifs recall Tibetan Buddhist decorations.The geometric corners and red/blue/cream palette are very typical of early 20th-century Tibetan production.Classical Chinese rugs often feature dragons, clouds, bats, Taoist symbols or more flowing designs.
 

• Probable origin: Tibet
• with strong Chinese influence
• probably a Ningxia / Tibet-China ancient or semi-ancient style rug.
